Managing Director

 

In his role as Managing Director with Wentworth Strategy Group, Mark John Stewart leads a team of experienced consultants in the delivery of expert advice and execution for CEOs, boards of directors, and senior leaders in Canada and across the world. He has also supported hundreds of clients and communities as the President of marketing agency FlyPrint. Mark serves as an Executive Advisor to Empowerment Squared, a Canadian charity dedicated to empowering newcomer, refugee, and marginalized youth and communities in Canada and across Africa, and he serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Health Trust and the Co-Chair of the City of Hamilton Mayor's Task Force on Transparency, Access, and Accountability.

​Currently an Industry Professor focused on strategic management with the McMaster University Master of Communications Management program and DeGroote Executive Education, Mark has served McMaster University in many capacities, including as President of the McMaster Alumni Association, as a member of the Board of Governors, and overseeing advancement activities at the DeGroote School of Business.

Mark holds an MBA in Strategic Market Leadership from the DeGroote School of Business, has achieved the ICD.D Designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors at the Rotman School of Management, and completed executive studies at Harvard Business School and the Schulich School of Business.

As a public speaker, Mark presents to a diversity of audiences on strategy, governance, leadership, and reputation and relationship building. He is honored to have been recognized as one of CBC's Top Five Young Professionals to Watch and one of Hamilton-Halton's Top Forty Under 40, the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce's Young Professional of the Year, to be the recipient of the Business and Professional Excellence Award from the Reverend John C Holland Awards, and to be awarded the McMaster Alumni Association Hamilton Community Impact Award.
